John Edwards not responsible for his own haircut

"Other people arrange these things, and I wasn't personally involved in it."

That makes sense. Via Instapundit.

He's a politician. Gotta love the way these guys know how to stall for time. They just keep talking while they're thinking of how in the world to dodge that attack. "Well first let me say a couple things . . ."

"Other people arrange these things . . ." yeah, another great political move, pass the buck.

Of course in my mind the question begs to be asked, if Edwards wants to spend that much for a haircut, what the heck does it matter anyway? Why not spend money to boost your image? I guess the reason it caused a controversy is because it makes Edwards look like an egotistical narcissist (okay I just said the same thing twice, but it gets the point across). But we probably shouldn't be all that surprised to find out that he's egotistical anyway. Didn't I already say that he's a politician?
